Cepho Celho Lizo (Traditional)

Folk, Vocal, Traditional, Music Video

Cepho Celho Lizo' is a song about love - unrequited love. A woman remembers her first love, her memories refreshed by the cherry blossoms. They remind her of the days when love was ripe and beauty hers. They compared her to the beautiful blossoms. But his heart was never hers and the pain is sharp even now. And now she realises how brief the flash of youth and beauty is, And yet so beautiful life is for all its unpredictability and brevity. Yet, there is hope for a happier song and new blossoms year after year.

Vesetsolü Lizo (Traditional)

Folk, Vocal, Traditional, LIVE

A song about the legendary beauty, Vesetsolü. Official Music Video of ’Bethi Zhosho’ by Tetseo Sisters from the Li, Chapter One : The Beginning. The debut album. In the olden days, the Naga concept of feminine beauty was realistic. Among the Tenyimias at least, clear radiant skin, dark long hair, nimble fingers; strong limbs, good height and healthy physique, a happy disposition and moderate appetite would count as beautiful. Laziness and weakness were frowned upon. Vesetsolü was the epitome of feminine grace and strength and an inspiration to all who crossed her path.

The Tati Song (Folk Fusion)

Folk Fusion, Music Video

A conversation between lovers. They say a young man fell in love with the village rich man’s daughter but he had nothing to offer for her hand but a song. He then brought to her, a unique gift, never seen before – a musical instrument fashioned from a piece of shiny cured bottle gourd and some twine strung on a cane rod – against each strike, he sang to her this song. He won her heart and her hand and they lived happily ever after. The gift was a “Tati” – the one stringed Naga folk instrument.
